Quickbooks Online (QBO)

What’s it for:

Bookkeeping software with the ability to do invoicing, bill pay, payroll, and more. 

Why we like it:

Intuit has been in the bookkeeping business for over 30 years, and they understand the needs of the small business owner. The cloud-based Online version allows easy coordination with teammates and accountants.

ADP Run

What’s it for:

Running payroll, Onboarding new employees, paying contractors, W2 and 1099 reporting, HR support, and more

Why we like it:

ADP is the largest payroll provider in the US. They have the processes dialed-in, and they offer many different options to tailor the services to meet the needs of the small, medium, and large businesses. Run is for employers with less than 50 employees.

What’s it for:

Running payroll, Onboarding new employees, paying contractors, W2 and 1099 reporting, HR support, and more

Why we like it:

Gusto is an easy-to use payroll system that we have used with many clients. We see it working best for under 20 employees with simple payroll needs. It also has an option for a solo S-corp owner who needs payroll compliance.

What’s it for:

Invoicing and paying bills. 

Why we like it:

We love that Melio has a solution to allow customers to pay you via credit card and have THEM pay the credit card fee. You can also pay bills with a credit card and have your vendor receive a check. This offers greater options for customers and vendors, which is always a good idea in our mind.

Take Command Health (HRA)

What’s it for:

Qualified Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA) administrator

Why we like it:

Take Command Health is who we use for our HRA solution. It allows employees to request reimbursement, and we can set up IRS qualified tax-advantaged plans for our employees to have healthcare coverage. 

Discount available:

HRAs allow your employees to avoid taxation on the benefit of their healthcare coverage. This makes a happier employee as they keep more money in their pocket.
