The Clara CFO Group Career Pathway
Our CFO Associate position is the role that all CFOs start at on their journey to becoming a Virtual CFO with Clara CFO Group.
During your time as a CFO Associate, you learn our unique way of serving clients and suite of tools and resources. You will have ample opportunity to train, learn from other CFOs, participate in projects, prepare financials for CFO review meetings, and use your financial expertise for client deliverables.
Individuals typically spend 3-6 months in the CFO Associate role before being promoted to Virtual CFO and supporting their own clients.

Who We're Looking For
We’re seeking experienced finance leaders who:
- Have 10+ years of financial leadership experience (Finance Director, Controller, or similar).
- Are skilled in financial strategy, forecasting, cash flow management, and operational finance.
- Enjoy working closely with business owners and leadership teams to drive results.
- Are proactive, analytical, and strong communicators who can translate financial data into actionable insights.
- Have experience with EOS, scaling businesses, or service-based industries (a plus!).
- Are comfortable working in a Fractional/Consulting capacity with multiple clients.
